GMO-Z.com Trust Company, Inc. (“GMO Trust”) reminds holders of GYEN and ZUSD that less than two months remain in the Initial Redemption Period.
The Initial Redemption Period closes at 23:59:59 Eastern Time on November 11, 2026 (the “Deadline”). A Redemption is processed once GMO Trust has received both the Stablecoins and a matching Redemption request on the Platform; the Stablecoins must be received before the Deadline, and requests for which they have not been received will be cancelled. Redemption requests are subject to standard processing times and compliance checks, and account applications are subject to KYC review, so holders should not leave Redemption to the final weeks.

Direct Redemption with GMO Trust is available to Account Holders at par value (1 GYEN = 1 JPY; 1 ZUSD = 1 USD), with no Redemption fees. Minimums of 100 GYEN and 1 ZUSD apply. GYEN Redemptions are remitted in JPY; holders without a JPY-denominated account may register a non-JPY account as Bank Wire (JPY), with conversion performed by their receiving bank. Holders who do not hold an Account may apply for one for the purpose of Redeeming existing holdings, subject to KYC review, and applicants should allow sufficient time before the Deadline.
- Secondary market. Routes to exchange GYEN or ZUSD for USDC on third-party venues are currently available for both tokens. A swap is not a Redemption and does not deliver par value.

Stablecoins not Redeemed before the Deadline will be subject to a mandatory redemption under Section 11 of the Stablecoin User Terms & Conditions, under which consideration is paid in USDC to the Wallet holding the Stablecoins. The process is set out in Mandatory Redemption: What Happens to GYEN and ZUSD Not Redeemed by November 11, 2026.
Holders on Stellar. A Stellar account must have an established USDC trustline in order to receive USDC under the Mandatory Redemption, and this must be set from the holder’s own account. GMO Trust cannot establish a trustline on a holder’s behalf. Holders expecting to hold GYEN or ZUSD on Stellar after the Deadline should ensure a USDC trustline is established.
Access to the GMO Trust Platform will end following the Deadline. Account Holders wishing to retain records of their transaction history should download the activity report for their Account before that date.
GMO Trust will never ask you to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, or pay a fee in order to Redeem.
